Oh, dear! Poor Bels. Here's hoping she may grow out of that somewhat as she gets older.

...And that Jack gets over his "peeing on pillows, pillowcases, and sheets" (every time he finds one on the floor; it's strange) and shoe-stealing craze. I'm just lucky that Alloy was willing to send me another pair of heels for free when I claimed that the package had never arrived. I mean, I only got to wear those things once before he ruined one...=/

Hahaha, yes, exactly...he likes to feel that he's a helpful little pointer. x3

Edit: I LOVE the above photo...the only Thundershirts I've ever seen are dark grey!! I wouldn't get Rusty pink, probably, but some more choices would've been cool. And I totally hope to someday find a comforter like that. I see an Afghan and an Irish Terrier and so many different doggies...that's outrageous. She looks so good and happy there, with her bone and all the awesome stuffies behind her. x3

I did a little dress rehearsal to see if my outfit went with Bella. I think she looks pretty good apart from the bandage on her foot (off tomorrow!). Unfortunately by the time mum worked out how to use the camera Bella had gotten fed up of standing still, and I'd just finished readjusting her when this was taken so I'm not very well posed, lol.

Bella does not like the cone of shame. She can't have another bandage as she had a sore from the other one, so she's in a cone instead.

Great outfit! Hah...moms and their dubious camera-operating skills. XDD; Looks impressive nonetheless; you guys are ready and raring to go already! *o* Love the climbing shot. They just don't care who they have to step on.

Oh, noes!! Glad the bandage is off, but the cone of shame...sadness! She definitely does not look pleased. V_V She even cried a little. Poor gal!!

Guess it's true what they say..."It's all fun and games 'til somebody ends up in a cone." She's definitely plotting revenge, you can tell...cooking up something good. "You humans will pay for this humiliation..."

She doesn't know what to do with herself at the moment, I think she might have trouble sleeping tonight.
I expect we'll just be watching the shows onthe weekend, which is a shame because we're most difinitely ready to start in every other way (we have been for weeks and weeks actually!). I think we'll have a nice time meeting other Salukis there anyway. It would be super if we could organize a playdate with other lukis.

I hope she gets used to her new attire soon.

Poor pup...I feel so bad. Hope she doesn't have to wear it for too long. At least she'll be as comfortable as possible otherwise. And it's a shame that you won't be able to actually compete in this first set of shows. I know you've been working so hard to prepare and looking so forward to it. *sigh* Well...these things happen. You'll have fun anyway, and then she'll get all healed up and be ready for some other shows...though I know it's tough to think positive while you're stuck in a cone of shame.

Luckily Bella slept fine last night. I left the cone off, and just put a sock over her foot and she was a very, very good girl and left it alone. She's also been very, very good in that she hasn't decided to seek revenge.

I'm so thrilled that the stunning Saluki, Shiraz California Dreamin won BIS at the World Dog Show in Austria, showing the world just how fabulous Salukis are. ;D He's just so gorgeous. <3

Oh good, I'm so glad to hear all that! She did look pretty miserable in the cone; I can't imagine it could be too comfy to sleep in! A sock was a great idea...guess she was grateful enough for that not to take revenge after all, lol. How surprising. >D

That is WICKED awesome news, too!! Man, that show needs to be publicized a lot more...even *I* didn't know it was taking place! I don't suppose I could've watched it, anyway, but it would have been neat to follow it in some way. After watching the Salukis get passed over year after year at Westminster, Crufts, and the other major shows, it's thrilling to know that one actually took the top honors there!! He's one BEAUTIFUL dog, for sure. Finally, some big-time Saluki love! Behold true beauty, world!! +D


Oooooh, and it's Ulla's birthday tomorrow...will have to make/give her some extra-special treatings! ;D

Oh yes, Bella's had her revenge- today whilst she was in the cone of shame she did something truly shameful; she did a wee on the rug! Naught, naughty girl!

Oh, rotten is the word for it, yes. I will most certainly deliver your birthday hugs and kisses to her. I'll also try to get some photos tomorrow (my memory card lodged itself into the computer and quit working after I finally busted it out...now I'm stuck with the tiny one. Ew.) It's just as well, though, because I froze her some salami-cheese- and peanut butter-embedded ice cubes, and it may be very amusing to watch her and the boys chase those across the floor. Hopefully it won't get too messy. They took quite a while to freeze thoroughly, though, and by the time they were done, the pups were tuckered out from their day of laser pointer games, running with their pal next door, etc. So, *tomorrow* she'll get her birthday treat!

Now if only I had a silly birthday hat with a chinstrap... ;D

Oh, my. Not only did she have her revenge, she first lulled you into a false sense of security! Wicked beast.

We'll just be watching the show on Saturday as Bella needs that extra day of her foot not being wet and it looks like it's going to be rather rainy.
So Bella will be watching with her handy-dandy waterproof sock on instead. I've been asked if I'd like to handle someone else's Saluki for them. I'm rather nervous, but very excited! ;D

Bella will be competing on Sunday, as her foot will be fine to go then, and the weather will be nicer as well. ;D

Here's some photos from the show today, Bella went along to watch with her best doggy friends and some of my human friends too! It turned out quite warm, and by the time the grass dried out it was less wet than the 'waterproof' sock Bella was wearing so it didn't end up being needed.
We met up with a friend of mine and his gorgeous Salukis, Saffie and Layla, whom Bella quite enjoyed meeting. I was very lucky to be able to take the lovely Layla round the ring, she won her class and then we competed for Intermediate in Group. No wins, but a lot of fun, I can't wait for Bella's turn tomorrow. ;D

Bella won Reserve Challenge Bitch at our first show together (out of only two bitches, but the winner was a gorgeous BIS winning Grand Champion, and Bella was a super good girl so I'm happy!). Bella was a bit nervous at first and at one point I was rather worried that she'd refuse to walk into the ring, but when she got going she was fine and we had lots of help from the other two ladies with Salukis. I'm very proud of Bella. <3 ;D
