What a great yard! =D It looks perfect for her. ^^ Ahhh, she's so playful and active!! Love those silly Saluki antics! She pounced a lemon, LOL. Did a good job of it, too. She should give other dogs pouncing lessons! XD I have a few videos of my pups on this channel: www.youtube.com/user/rafflesia?feature=mhee#g/u

Our yard's pretty good, unfortunately part of it is fenced off into a separate section which means there's a bit less running space for Bella than there could be. Because it's a rental I can't really do anything about that. And there's the not-in-use trampoline taking up precious space as well. We do have enough space for her to zoom around until she's tired though- and a great fence (though she doesn't seem to be the fence-jumping type... so far!) I showed Bella the video just now, and she watched with great interest! I then attempted to show her a couple of videos of Ulla, but apparently Bella is only interested in watching herself. I loooove your videos of Ulla and Rusty, especially the one of them playing in the snow and slow-mo Ulla! I want your yard- it's so big. Ullie sure is one beautiful lady! The vids have just reminded me, last week I was out shopping and looking at toys (as you do) and they had a selection of plush dogs with name tags. I was disappointed, but not at all surprised, that there were no beautiful leggy hounds, but I did come across a red and white one that looked like Rusty. I expect it was meant to be a Cocker but more resembled a Welsh Springer or a Brittany too me. I then looked at it's tag which read of all things, 'Rusty'! It amused me greatly. You can now inform Rusty that he has been immortalised in plushie form! ;D

Oh, good, it's nice when they don't make you feel over-concerned about the fence...Ulla's never made an earnest effort to get over it. She'll just bounce up and down excitedly, watching her terrier friend run back to her house after a racing session. Enough room to zoom around is really the most important thing. xD Ulla does laps around the garden (which is where the pool used to be.) I'm sure if we still had our trampoline, which I really miss, she'd work that into her running pattern too, lol. HA, so much for dogs being incapable of self-recognition. Gee, sounds as though you might have yourself a little bit of a Georgette-esque diva there. ;D Hehehe, thank you! =] Oh, for realistic plush dogs, I would recommend douglascuddletoy.com. They have yet to make a Saluki, but I have suggested it to them on their Facebook page, and they seem to listen to and appreciate our input--so perhaps someday there may be one. Right now I know they have a lovely brindle Greyhound by the name of Racer, and I think I just may have to add him to my collection using some of my birthday money next week. AHH! A stuffed Rusty! He'll be pleased to hear that. It must have been so cuuuute!!

Awwwww!! Doggie play date in a pretty place! =D Coco does the SAME face-rubbing thing Ulla does. xDD And I just realized that Bella reminds me of Ivy from Cats & Dogs. :3

Funny, one of the first things I thought of when I was sent pictures of Bella was that she looked a bit like Ivy (the character who happened to have started my love affair with Salukis)

^w^ I'll never forget seeing that movie in the theater with a bunch of friends...nobody could decide where to sit, and we took a picture with the cool movie poster outside...wish I knew what happened to that photo. :/ I was so thrilled to see an awesome Saluki actress! And so disappointed recently when Ivy was totally omitted from the sequel. =( That was not what I had in mind when I'd written WB many years ago about what they should do with a sequel (ideas they claimed they could not even read, for understandable reasons!)
The only reason I'm going to see the new Transformers movie is that I learned from some people on one of the mailing lists that a couple of Salukis appear in the background of a scene or two. =p

Another video of Bel, this time at the beach. Unfortunatley it's not really suitable for off-leash running so she's on her long line.

And another vid. This one's at the school oval where Bella can run off leash. This was on quite a warm day so she didn't do all that much running, the video was made from two separate running sessions, there was a big gap in which she rested in the shade in between.
